   The Patronato de la Pasión de Callosa de Segura will once again stage the play “Porta Celi: La Puerta del Cielo",  written by the late local author Adrián Prieto (RIP).

     This play, written in 2009, was first performed with resounding success at the closing ceremony of the 6th Centenary of the Apparition of Our Patron Saint Roque. It depicts various episodes from the life, death, and subsequent apparition of the Holy Pilgrim in our city.

   Due to popular demand, it was performed again in November 2011, and since then, each November, the curtain at Casa de Cultura "Reina Sofía" rises to thrill the numerous audience eagerly awaiting the event.

    Currently, the play consists of seven scenes and is performed by over 50 actors and actresses from the Patronato, who bring each character to life with their excellent performances. Additionally, a large number of people contribute with makeup, costumes, sound, and lighting, making it possible for Callosa de Segura to resonate each year with the moving story of its Glorious Patron.
